SAF Vocational Training SOS (donation for the earthquake emergency relief programme September 2006)
On 30th September 2006, 224 children were placed in the care of SOS Childrens Villages while the Search and Rescue activities resumed. By the 31st December there were 241 children and 12 widows in the care of SOS.
70 children benefited from the SAF Madanjeet Singh scholarships in education and vocational training.

Funds for Government College University for computer education
In order to meet the challenges of the 21st century, in 2002 the Government College decided to upgrade its Department of Computer Science.
The SAF agreed to support this programme and pay for the hiring of two visiting faculty Professors to teach Computer Architecture, Computer Communication and Networks.
| | The following semester the SAF decided to pay for the appointment of three Faculty members to teach Digital Logic Design, Software Engineering, System Programming and Artificial Intelligence.
