Dear Sir,

I am a recepient of SAF Madanjeet Singh scholarship from Nepal for one year post graduate course at the Asian College of Journalism during 2008 - 2009. I am glad to inform you that I recently got a job in 'Republica', a newly established and one of the leading newspapers of Nepal. It would not have been possible for me to get a job without your help, especially at a time when unemployment is high in Nepal.

It was very difficult for me to get a job because of global recession and some other factors. Despite my good performance in written test, I could not get a job so I had to seek help from some influential people. The editor-in-chief finally told me that they were taking me for my competence and not because of my personal links. I was delighted to hear that because I did not want a job as someone's favour.

  

I was not able to face you earlier because I had not got a job but now I can tell you that your investment hasn't been wasted. But getting a job is just a beginning and there is a lot more for me to do. I also need your blessings to achieve success in the future.

Sir, I come from an elite family of Nepal (my maternal family being the Ranas who ruled for 104 years) but due to circumstances my family was facing a lot of financial hardship and I was unable to continue my studies. At the meantime I received scholarship from you so I will always remain grateful to you. I have also learnt in my days of hardship that there are very few people like you who help others genuinely.

I wrote this mail to thank you for all that you have done for me.
