The classes for the CLASS OF 2021 will begin from Monday July 6, 2020.

Eligibility

A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory. Graduates in any discipline and students awaiting their degree examination results are eligible to apply for admission to the ACJ. Enrolled students should provide their degree certificate to the Registrar within the first week of commencement of classes. Students awaiting their examination results should provide their degree certificate latest by the end of February 2021.

Application Procedure

The application form may either be submitted ONLINE or DOWNLOAD and completed. Application whether online or hard copy will need to be sent along with an application fee of Rs 2360/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%). Candidates applying for both programmes need to pay only a consolidated processing fee of Rs. 3540/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%). The fee can be remitted as an online transfer or sent as a Demand Draft in favour of “Media Development Foundation”, payable at Chennai. Please ensure that the full name, email id and mobile number of the applicant accompany the payment.

In the case of online transfer the applicant will be directed to the Online Payment gateway once the form is completely filled. The applicant is requested to keep Credit Card/ Debit card/ Net Banking details ready for making the payment. The applicant using the payment gateway service is required to pay the convenience fee as prescribed by the service.

SC/ST applicants are exempt from the application fee on production of their community certificates.

Last date for receiving applications is April 20, 2020.

Note

  • Applicants are required to indicate, in their completed application, both the stream of specialisation and the integration course opted for i.e. Print, New Media and Broadcast.
  • Application Forms will be processed only if they are complete in all respects and on receipt of the application fee.

Entrance Examination

After a careful assessment of applications, shortlisted candidates will be required to take an online entrance examination at the centre they have opted for on Sunday, May 17, 2020 between 09.00 am and 02.00 pm.

The candidates will receive an email regarding their hall ticket between May 12 and May 15, 2020.

The examination will be offered in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Ranchi, Patna, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and possibly other cities, depending on the number of applications received from a particular region.

The examination will be delivered online in real time and will be in two parts: (a) to test the applicant’s English language skills and (b) awareness of current affairs and general knowledge. Other procedures may be prescribed for candidates from abroad.

Interview

Applicants shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination will be invited to an interview at the college between May 30 and June 3, 2020.

The names of applicants shortlisted for the interview will be posted on our website by May 23, 2020. The applicants will also be intimated individually by email.

Admission results will be announced on June 4, 2020.
