Dr. Khan Touseef Osman delivered special lecture titled "Bangladeshi English Novel: Roots and Routes" at the University of Calcutta  on 22 November, 2019 tracing the history of Bangladeshi English literature from Begum Rokeya till today. His particular focus was on the growth of Bangladeshi English novel since the 1990s as a result of globalization as well as the change in the economic scene of Bangladesh.
