2 July, 2025- 🌱 National Workshop on Advances in Nuclear Energy for Sustainable Environment (NWANESE-2025) to be Held at Pondicherry University 🌍

Puducherry | July 2025 — The UNESCO Madanjeet School of Green Energy Technologies (UMSGET) at Pondicherry University is set to host the prestigious National Workshop on Advances in Nuclear Energy for Sustainable Environment (NWANESE-2025) on 25th July 2025 (tentative), at the University’s Cultural-Cum-Convention Centre. This vital academic event, in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, will bring together some of the nation’s finest minds in nuclear energy and sustainable development.

This workshop is being organized under the UNESCO Chair on Renewable and Clean Energy for Sustainable Development, hosted by the Department of Green Energy Technology (DGET) at Pondicherry University.

The National Workshop on Advances in Nuclear Energy for Sustainable Environment would likely focus on the role of nuclear energy in addressing climate change and promoting a sustainable energy future, as well as showcasing India's advancements in nuclear technology and policy. The event would likely feature discussions on topics like nuclear contribution to energy security, sustainable development goals, and the latest innovations in nuclear technology like SMRs, etc.
