UMCSAWM Joins Hands with UMSGET for the First International Conference on Energy and Water for a Sustainable Environment

The UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre for South Asia Water Management (UMCSAWM) of the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, joined hands with the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre for Global Environment and Technology (UMSGET) of Pondicherry University, India, and the South Asia Foundation (SAF) to successfully organize the First International Conference on Energy and Water for a Sustainable Environment (ICEWSE 2025). The conference was held on 30th September and 01st October 2025.

UNESCO Chair on –Supports Boot Camp on Drone Technology at Pondicherry University

UNESCO Chair in Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development, is organizing a 5-Day Boot Camp and Hands-on Training Workshop on “Computational and Practical Aspects in Drone Technology Towards Sustainability” from 3rd to 7th November 2025 at the CCC Seminar Hall, Pondicherry University. The programme is partly supported by the UNESCO Chair fund and jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under its Capacity Building Project for Human Resources in Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and the South Asia Foundation (SAF).
