A few books were handed over this afternoon to Prof. Dr. Sushil Raj Pandey, Head - Political Science Department at the Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Nepal on the occasion of the birthday of Ambassador Madanjeet Singh, Founder of SAF. These books were donated to the library of the Department on their request. The handing over, previously supposed to be held on April 20th had to be postponed because of elections in Nepal during which the University was closed. The books are on international relations, SAARC, public administration, and economic cooperation efforts in South Asia. A Nepali version of the 'SASIA Story' entitled "SASIA ko Katha" was also given to the department. A large number of students at the department will benefit from these books. I would be grateful if you could kindly upload the attached photos and this news on the SAF website.

While some of these books were remaining from last year's consignment, a few were purchased by  me at the local market. Due to our consistent assistance to the university library and also to the SAARC Secretariat, there have been a lot of organizations seeking our help to upgrade their library content. The news has spread and the latest is the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) who are not only renovating their library but also seeking new arrivals in the field of ary and culture, ecology and mountains.
