Identification of Suitable Sites for the New Proposed SOS Children's Villages

The Government of Pakistan and Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are in the process of identifying suitable land for the construction of the new proposed SOS Children's Villages.

The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has issued a directive for the identification of land. We expect that within the next quarter significant work will be accomplished in this respect.

The Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (ERRA) is extending their full cooperation to SOS. The implementation of the Master Plan and relocation of parts of the affected population are extremely challenging and difficulties are being faced by the authorities; there are still thousands of displaced people living in camps.
