Khademi presents her powerful 2024 work "Article 5", created using gouache and gold leaf on paper. This piece responds to Article 5 of the German Basic Law, which guarantees freedom of expression, and reflects her ongoing commitment to themes of exile, identity, and resistance. Her work features bold visual storytelling, rooted in personal and political experience. Kubra, originally from Afghanistan and part of the Hazara community, sought refuge in France in 2015 after a performance piece in Kabul led to threats against her. Since then, she has received French citizenship, exhibited worldwide, and has been recognized with numerous accolades including the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2016.
