New Delhi, 6 October 2025 — In a significant step toward enhancing regional cooperation and cultural engagement in South Asia, Madam France Marquet, SAF Representative to UNESCO & Principal Trustee of the Madanjeet Singh Foundation (MSF), held a high-level meeting with Mr. Timothy Curtis, Director and Representative of UNESCO in India. The meeting took place at Taj Palace, New Delhi

The discussion centered around expanding the impact of the South Asia Foundation (SAF) and reinforcing joint initiatives aimed at promoting education, cultural exchange, and sustainable development across the region.

Both dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to UNESCO’s core values and SAF's vision of regional cooperation through education. They explored new avenues for collaboration between SAF-supported institutions and UNESCO’s regional programs, particularly in areas aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The meeting marks a continued legacy of the late UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Madanjeet Singh, whose vision of a united South Asia through Eudcation, culture, and mutual understanding remains at the heart of MSF’s work.
