The High Level Annual Governing Council Meeting of the Madanjeet Singh Foundation (MSF) was convened on 27 November 2025 at Bandos, Maldives. The meeting was graced by the presence of Madam France Marquet, Principal Trustee, MSF; Mr. N. Ram, President, MSF; Dr. Syeda Hameed, Trustee, MSF; Prof. Salima Hashmi, Trustee, MSF; Dr. Nishchal Nath Pandey, Trustee, MSF; Dr. Armin Dobler, Trustee, MSF; Ms. Vidya Ram, Trustee, MSF; and Ms. Khushi Kabir, Vice Chair, SAF-Bangladesh.

The Governing Council appreciated the remarkable progress of all UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institutes of Excellence, acknowledging their continued contribution to regional cooperation and academic advancement. MSF has so far sponsored over 1,000 fully funded scholars across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, many of whom are now serving in prestigious positions across South Asia, strengthening the Foundation’s vision of regional harmony.

The Council also reviewed the recent activities under the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Chair, including the first-ever joint collaboration between UMSGET and UMCSAWM, which successfully conducted a student-benefit workshop from 30 September to 1 October 2025 under the aegis of DGET, Pondicherry University.

Further, the meeting deliberated on several key strategic matters aimed at advancing the mission laid down by Ambassador Madanjeet Singh, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to education, peace, and regional cooperation.
