A prestigious Book Launch Programme on “Youth Movements in South and Southeast Asia” was successfully organized by COSATT and the Political Dialogue Asia Programme of the KAS, bringing together distinguished academicians, scholars, and young leaders from across the region.

The event featured Dr. Nischal Nath Pandey, Chairman of SAF-Nepal, as an eminent speaker who shared insightful perspectives on the growing role of youth movements in shaping democratic participation, social transformation, and regional cooperation in South and Southeast Asia. His address emphasized the importance of empowering young minds to contribute meaningfully towards peace, leadership, and sustainable development.

Adding pride to the occasion, Mr. Janak Pokhrel, SAF Scholar (2016–20) from UMCDSRC, National College, Kathmandu, also participated in the programme and represented the spirit of academic excellence and youth engagement fostered through the South Asia Foundation initiatives.

The programme served as an important intellectual platform for discussing contemporary youth activism, regional challenges, and opportunities for collaborative dialogue among emerging leaders. The event concluded with appreciation for the valuable contributions of scholars, organizers, and participants in strengthening regional understanding and academic cooperation.
