Paris, 21 September 2026 — Madame France Marquet, Principal Trustee of the Madanjeet Singh Foundation (MSF) and South Asia Foundation (SAF) Representative to UNESCO, attended the special UNESCO event “Calling for Peace: Identity, Creativity and Intercultural Dialogue for Inclusive and Peaceful Societies” held today at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

Organised at UNESCO Headquarters on 21 September 2026, the event brought together voices around the shared values of peace, intercultural dialogue, creativity and inclusion. The programme highlighted the importance of embracing cultural diversity and fostering dialogue as essential foundations for more inclusive and peaceful societies.

Madame France Marquet’s participation reflects the longstanding commitment of the Madanjeet Singh Foundation and the South Asia Foundation to advancing the ideals of peace, education, intercultural understanding and regional cooperation.

The event also resonates strongly with the vision of the late UENSCO Goodwill Ambassador Madanjeet Singh, whose lifelong dedication to peace, education and dialogue across South Asia continues to inspire the Foundation’s work through educational scholarships, academic institutions and initiatives promoting cooperation among young people and communities.
