South Asia Foundation (SAF) is delighted to celebrate the achievements of two distinguished alumni of the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of South Asian Arts (UMISAA), BNU, Lahore, Pakistan selected from SAF–Sri Lanka—Krishnapriya and Thajendran—whose works have been selected for display at the "Junctures" Art Exhibition, presented by Art Trail in Colombo from 7–13 August 2026.
The exhibition brings together the second generation of contemporary artists from Jaffna, providing a significant platform for emerging voices whose works reflect the evolving artistic and cultural landscape of Northern Sri Lanka.

The participation of Krishnapriya and Thajendran is a testament to their artistic excellence and creative vision. As alumni of UMISAA, SAF–Sri Lanka, they continue to uphold the institute's legacy of nurturing talented artists who contribute meaningfully to the region's vibrant cultural heritage.

The South Asia Foundation extends its heartfelt congratulations to both alumni on this remarkable achievement and wishes them continued success in their artistic journeys. Their accomplishments are a source of immense pride for the entire SAF family and serve as an inspiration to aspiring artists across South Asia.
