Professor Salima Hashmi—renowned artist, educator, and curator—is the Director of the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of South Asian Arts (UMISAA) at Beaconhouse National University and Chairperson of SAF-Pakistan. As co-curator of the exhibition alongside Manmeet K. Walia, she delivered the keynote address at the launch of this landmark show, which features the work of 26 emerging artists from across South Asia. The exhibition is presented by the Ravi Jain Memorial Foundation with the support of Dhoomimal Gallery, New Delhi.

This spring, (Un)Layering the Future Past of South Asia: Young Artists’ Voices will take over SOAS Gallery, featuring works from 26 emerging and established artists across six South Asian countries.
