Dasho Ugen Tsechup Dorji  takes over as New Chairperson, Bhutan Jamchong Thuendrel Foundation(SAF-Bhutan). He is graduated from the famous St.Stephen’s College, New Delhi , Dasho Ugen joined his family business at a young age. A visionary par excellence , an excellent orator and a quick learner with modern outlook are the right words to define the personality of Dasho Ugen. He is responsible for singlehandedly starting many new businesses through various group companies viz. Cement, Ferro-Alloys , Automobile Distribution, Mining , Ferro-Silicon, Fruit Juice & Milk Processing etc. Zimdra, under Dasho Ugen has grown to become a top Corporate House of Bhutan. Bhutan Soya Proteins , the latest venture to manufacture textured soya protein, is another feather in his cap. Dasho Ugen has held important positions in various organizations in the past viz. President, SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, President, Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industries, General Secretary, Bhutan India Friendship Association. Currently Dasho Ugen is Honorary Consul of Thailand to Bhutan and President FIFA-Bhutan. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, Dasho Ugen is not bound by the corporate boundaries and his personal interest spans from Golf, Football & Archery like sports to social service through education initiatives & safe drinking water supplies in rural area etc. The development in rural area & well being of rural people are the issues which are close to his heart.
