First Batch of M.Eng. Degree/PG Diploma Graduates

UMCSAWM and the team join hands with the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa and South Asia Foundation (SAF), to send their Warmest Congratulations to the first batch of graduates who were conferred with their M.Eng. degrees/PG Diplomas during the 36th General Convocation of the University of Moratuwa held on Monday, September 21st at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

Engineering and Management Degree course, and one part-time student from the Postgraduate Diploma in Water Resources Engineering and Management course were amongst the over 1400 undergraduates and 130 postgraduate students conferred with their degrees/diplomas during this glorious annual event. The list of first batch of graduates is as below.

Once again, while sending our Warmest Congratulations, we wish all the very best to all of our first batch of graduates, and wish them success in all their future endeavors.

We hope that the other students who have already commenced their research work will keep on to their schedules and those who have not yet commenced the research project work will commence theirs soon, so that you all will be able to achieve similar success.

We express our sincere thanks to the Vice Chancellor, Dean-Faculty of Engineering, Head-Department of Civil Engineering, Head-Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering Division, and all internal/visiting staff and support personnel involved to make this program a success.

At this special occasion, we tender our great appreciation to Late Shri Madanjeet Singh (UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and SAF Founder) and Madam France Marquet (SAF Principal Trustee), Former President of Sri Lanka Hon. Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga (Chairperson of SAF‐Sri Lanka Chapter), and the SAF for financial support, other assistance and encouragement extended to establish UMCSAWM at UoM.

The invaluable efforts, advice and contributions of Former Foreign Minister Hon. Late Lakshman Kadirgamar, Former Vice Chancellor Prof. Malik Ranasinghe, and Mr. PK Prabhakaran (CEO, SAF-India) are remembered with gratitude.
